4 days. That's all that I need! My friend Savi is staying in Tulum in Mexico for a month long sabbatical, and I figured I would keep her company :) It would also be nice to take a quick R&R vacay, as this upcoming spring schedule is crazy-pants.
Tulum is my happy place. Total paradise. Turquoise water. Soft white sand. Sunrises and sunsets to die for.
It's easy to find inspiration here, so my few days here will consist of the beach, a good book, and some stillness. And tequila. Lots of good tequila.
Though a last minute trip, I have been looking into visiting Ecuador ever since being introduced to Colombia last year. I only had time to explore in and around the capital Quito...which means I just need to plan another trip soon.
The first day I saw a beautiful statue across town at the top of a big hill, so I did what I do....found my way to the top.
I loved everything I experienced in my short trip, but not surprisingly my favourite part was the markets. Unbelievable craftsmanship in every form to be found here. It was hard to choose from the mountains of textiles, so I just took them all.
It's a terrible thing, being dragged to Hawaii for a festival. Someone's gotta do it I guess...
I'm on the north shore of Oahu participating in the Wanderlust yoga festival - my favourite festival organization and definitely my favourite setting to work a market. Sunshine, bare feet, crashing waves in the background, fresh coconuts...the list goes on and on. This place is perfect for a photo shoot, so anytime I'm not working in my booth I'm finding spots and self-photographing my ass off!
On the last day I hiked up to the pill box nearby and saw a few whales. Can I just stay here forever???
